First, any data we collect on your behalf is considered yours and not ours. At the end of the registration period, we backup all data and files collected, burn a copy and mail it to you. Afterwards, we destroy all this collected data destroy it and then purge the database to get ready for the next year. We have absolutely no desire to keep our database and server space full of old data. Again, it is yours and we don’t want it at all.
Second, the site is encrypted with a 256-bit SSL secured key (TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_CHACHA20_
We also use syncing services with Microsoft for the file uploading process. From Microsoft, “Currently there is no official certification for HIPAA or HITECH Act compliance. However, those Microsoft services covered under the BAA have undergone audits conducted by accredited independent auditors for the Microsoft ISO/IEC 27001 certification.”
And lastly, we would be happy to sign any type of security document stating you own this collected data and that we will destroy that data at your request or at the end of the registration process.
